Ed McGee began his career in Boston during the seventies directly after receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Marines. He worked with many of Boston's regional acts of the day including The Stompers, The Johnny Barnes Group and Robin Lane and the Chartbusters.

Word of his talent quickly spread through the music community and Ed was approached by Joe Perry and Brad Whitford of Aerosmith to be their guitar tech. Ed went on to work with both Joe and Brad, but he ultimatly became Joe Perry's personal tech.

In 1994 after seeing the need for a quality regional sound company he established Ed McGee Audio. Below you will find a short list of performers and organizations that EMA has provided their services to:
